The “Ciro Angelillis” Library is a public cultural service of the Municipality of Monte Sant’Angelo, dedicated to the promotion of reading, knowledge, information and local memory. It is open to all, promotes cultural participation, lifelong education and information pluralism, while respecting the rights and needs of users.

Services provided:

  • Lending books and multimedia materials
  • On-site consultation
  • Online catalog available on the website of the Puglia Region SBN Pole.
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Free access to the Reading Room
  • Access to the Fund Room upon request
  • Loan upon registration with ID
  • Loan from Fund Room upon permission with downloadable form

Access and lending

Access to the Reading Room and services is free of charge.
Authorization from Library staff is required for access to the Library and Reference Services upon presentation of identification.
Borrowing of the Fund Room requires specific authorization via the appropriate form available online.

Accessibility and inclusion

The Library is designed to be usable by all, with special attention to people with motor, sensory and cognitive disabilities.

Facilitated entrance for people with mobility difficulties via a ramp in Vico del Monastero, connected to a stair lift that leads directly to the library floor. There is also an elevator to provide full access to the spaces, eliminating architectural barriers.

Rights and duties of users

Users have the right to efficient, accessible, respectful and up-to-date service.
They are required to:

  • Maintain proper and quiet behavior
  • Do not cause damage or disturbance
  • Respect the limits of consultation and use of digital workstations
